TODD TOWERS
President and Creative Director
ttowers@farmboyfinearts.com

WORK OF ART THAT HAS LEFT THE BIGGEST IMPRESSION:
It's a toss-up between the 15 collected works of Mark Rothko,
in the Rothko room in the Tate Modern, and the northen lights
environment art I have seen on my ranch.

VIRTUES:
Creativity and resilience (OK, stubbornness).

VICE:
Vice? The recipe is this: 2 parts coffee, 1 part bad action movies, 2
parts sugar sweet additives. Self-improvement? Time. My father tells
me I will be late for my own funeral.

NATURAL TALENT YOU WISH YOU WERE GIFTED WITH:
Photographic memory.

FAVOURITE PROJECT:
Since 2000, Farmboy has been my favourite project. Seriously, this is
an amazing company with fantastic people, projects and clients that
have enriched my life and continue to do so. I am very thankful.

WORK OF ART THAT HAS LEFT THE BIGGEST IMPRESSION:
One that comes to mind immediately is Dali's anamorphic
skull painting.

VIRTUES:
Curiosity. I ask lots of questions.

VICE:
I question everything.

NATURAL TALENT YOU WISH YOU WERE GIFTED WITH:
Write music. When I was thirteen I had a song in my head, and
with no technical training except a brief violin stint when I was
eight, I decided to make up my own notes. I had three pages
of archaic symbols but when I looked back at them the next day, I
couldn't hum the tune - so I danced instead.

FAVOURITE PROJECT:
A charcoal portrait of a baby I did for a children's hospital a million
years ago. Went for a visit and noticed a candied lip stain on
the glass above where the baby portrait's lips were. Someone liked
it enough to kiss it. Art affects people.

ARIEL GRUE LEE
Design Project Manager

WORK OF ART THAT HAS LEFT THE BIGGEST IMPRESSION:
Too hard to pick just one. Top 3 are:
1. Kirchner's Artillerymen, 1915 at the Guggenheim, NYC.
2. The Unicom Tapestries in the Cloisters, NYC.
3. Antony Gormley's Blind Light at the Hayword Gallery, London.

VIRTUES:
Optimistic, generous, diplomatic and I can convince most people of
most things most of the time, but only try to use this power for
good...most of the time...

VICE:
Talking too much, being bossy, extravagance, control-freakish behaviour
at times, embarrassing addiction to US Weekly without subscription.

NATURAL TALENT YOU WISH YOU WERE GIFTED WITH:
Mad accounting skillzzz.

FAVOURITE PROJECT:
Taking an industrial design course one summer, learning my way around
an exacto knife, building a rad cardboard chair, having it to be one of my

WORK OF ART THAT HAS LEFT THE BIGGEST IMPRESSION:
Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte by Georges Seurat.
I learned about it in grade two and thought it was such a neat way to paint;
then when my parents took me to see it at the Art Institute of Chicago,
I was blown away by the size of it. Of course, I was pretty small.

VIRTUES:
I will make you laugh. Then I'll organize your closet by colour.

VICE:
I like things to be the way I like them. I could go easy on that.

skeleton made with white plastic lawn chairs.

VICE:
My biggest vice is having an addictive personality. I'm easily hooked
when I truly enjoy something and I usually take it a bit too far.

equally adept with both hands/arms for many reasons, but mainly
because I would be deadly at dodgeball!

FELICITY CARTER
Designer
fcarter@farmboyfinearts.com

WORK OF ART THAT HAS LEFT THE BIGGEST IMPRESSION:
There have been one or two, but most recently, the Alexander
McQueen Exhibition
at The Met NYC. It was incredible. His method
of thinking and design ideas were so intriguing and left me wanting more.
It's such a tragedy.
